  2. Hi Guys, I would like to let everyone know that we have managed to resolve the issue on the Giant. I have had a long conversation with Dr Uys and what a wonderful and understanding lady. Dr Uys has paid me back the FULL amount of the bike and the Giant is on its way back to Johannesburg. I think we just need to have a little more faith in the people and not jump to any conclusions. It is sad that now days we expect the worst in people. Dr Uys I apologise how things developed but I am glad that we are able to work this out. Please if anyone is interested in the Giant it is a truly awesome bike! I can vouch for that. Thanks again.
  3. Dear Dr Uys, Thank you for clarifying to the group , I am glad we were able to sort out this issue and I'm sure we will all support you in trying to sell the bike for your son .I am sorry for the unpleasantness that has been experienced due to a cell phone technicality but hopefully we can all move passed this and all get what we eventually "me my dream bike and you a sale " Thanks to everyone for understanding that things can go wrong and there is good people out there who do the right thing .
  4. Thank you to the admin appreciate that the hub looks after its members, I know what was in the original advert and what was said by the seller on the phone last night .
  5. Clearly as he advertised it as a 50 cm medium. He admitted to this.
  6. Guys its clear Tinus admitted to me last that he made a mistake when he put the advert up. He said he just looked at the invoice from the bike shop and didnt look at the frame then looked at the website and had seen that the meduim was a 50 cm. And thats what he put on his advert. Clearly it was wrong. Bike is a M/L.
  7. His name is marthunis Jacobus Profile name : Tinus.d The frame is a Giant compact frame. It even says ML on the frame! I dont know how any one can sell it as M???? From the advertisemnet one could not see the ML sticker. And on his adevert it said M and 50cm. Complete Lie! http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/tcr.advanced.0/9006/48836/ It clearly states M and ML I have even offered to pay courrier services to send the bike back and he has refused! Please if anyone can give some advice on this, it was my dream bike and had to borrow the money to get it. Thanks
  8. Hi Guys, I hoping someone here can help me out here? I recently purchased a road bike on the hub website. I am in Durban, the bike is JHB. I only viewed the bike over the internet. I did not view the bike personally but from what I had seen and what was described in the advert was exactly what I was looking for. The bike was advertised to be a medium and it even gave me the measurements from BB to Seat clamp (50 cm). Perfect frame size for me. When the bike arrived I was really shocked to see that the bike was NOT a medium but a medium/large (54 cm). The bike is now too big for me! I feel so gutted that someone could falsely (even if by mistake as this person claims) advertise a product and not accept any responsibility. (The seller is refusing to accept the Bike back and give me a refund) What would be the best way forward? Do I need to seek legal action? Has there been anyone on the hub that has had the same experience? I can’t be the first one to have experience this. What can I do? Thanks!
