Hi. Sorry for bumping an old thread but did you get sorted?

I took a look at the Raleigh earlier and it didn't have the Deore components that it was advertised with. The guys simply used the specs from an advert that someone else posted as he didn't know much about the bike. It seems that I may be able to take a look at the Silverback tomorrow. Thank very much.

Hi guys. I am looking to buy a cheap entry level bike. I have found 2 bikes that I am considering: The 1st is Raleigh Durango Platinum with Deore cranks/derailers and shifters. Its 5 years old but hardly used. The 2nd is a Silverback Reno 2009 and is as stock as they come. I think its good a complete Alivio setup, if that makes any sense. Both bikes are priced similarly. Which one should I look at first and why? I don't know much about the Raleigh and a google search brings up nothing but old classified adverts. From the pictures, the fork looks a bit 'outdated'. Had anyone had experience with the Durango in its stock form? Thanks in advance CaddyLife.
