  1. Hi I am looking for a bike for my 9-year-old daughter (135cm in Height). I'm assuming a 24-inch should be a good size, with 20 inch too small? She is still learning to ride; her current bike has training wheels and is now also too small. I am looking for something decent but not too expensive Are any of these options decent? Or other suggestions in the same price range? https://www.cyclelab.com/product/1016400-bike-jnr-girls-marvel-livi-v-brake https://solomonscycles.co.za/products/avalanche-alphaone-24″-2020-girls/ https://www.cyclelab.com/product/26159910057-used-junior-bikes-trek-jnr-mt-220-24--blk-red-wh
  2. This device looks pretty cool especially at its price point. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it, I would like to know how its activity tracking capabilities compare to the likes those from Garmin, fitbit, etc... Also how well does it integrate with vitality for both daily steps and workouts?
  3. Hi Guys, Is it fair to say that a road bike can be cheaper that an equivalent Mtb? Say comparing a basic aluminium frame in each case with average components? And then the million dollar question, whats more fun? Mtb or Road cycling?
  4. What is the difference between the different component levels? I can understand that disk breaks are better than V breaks but what is the difference between tourney and acera or any of the other levels. Being all shimanoo parts is it like buying a BMW 316 vs a M3. Is it purely performance but still good quality?
  5. This disappointing, well these bikes are around R2500. I was thinking that I wanted a bike to cycle around to get my fitness up to scratch before I tackle anything hectic. Can you upgrade components? Like putting disk brakes later?
  6. Brandon, perhaps create a new topic asking that question... The rant and rave section? Also this is the QnA section, so my question is the exact reason the forum has this section.
  7. Here are the links... http://www.trekbikes.com/za/en/bikes/mountain/sport/3_series/3500/ http://www.bicycling.co.za/bike-buyers-guide/a902/ http://www.bicycling.co.za/bike-buyers-guide/atx-250/
  8. Hi Guys From the list below which is the best option: Trek 3500 Axis A90 AVALANCHE ATX 250
  9. 2000? If that's reasonable
  10. It is MTN not as mountain but MTN. But ya it seems like it's just a normal makro bike painted in MTN branding
  11. Any suggestions on second hands?
  12. Will tourney parts not last or are they just more heavy resulting in poor performance? Like comparing a corolla to a Ferrari?
  13. Hi Guys, I need help finding a cheap good value entry level MTB. I thought of the Trek 3500. I probably will use the bike on the road and off. I don't intend to do anything too hectic. I think its shimano tourney components? Also it has V-breaks? I would welcome any other suggestions. THANKS!
  14. What about the trek 3500? Also can someone give me a dummies overview of the components? Is shimanoo good?
  15. There's no pictures. I assumed that perhaps with the MTN branding it's free advertising so it's cheaper. I can't find any information online. I'm new so don't want to invest a lot to see if I enjoy the sport
