  1. I am a Jo-Berger heading down to the coast this coming for week for some warmer weather. I am taking along both my road and mountain bikes as I am training for the transbaviaans coming up in august. Can anybody recommend any group MTb or road rides in the umhlanga or balito areas? Thanks, B
  2. Thank-you for all the advice. Will go with clinchers given the absence of a team car....
  3. All, I am a seasoned MTBer in the process of building up a road bike (Bianchi C2C Infinito with Chorus). I am not sure which type of rims to go with - tubular or regular (aka clincher?). I understand that tubular is tube and tyre in one while the latter is the normal tyre with a seperate inner tube. However, what exactly are the pros / cons of each? MTBing with tubeless tyres has really transformed my MTB experience - was just wondering if there were similar innovations in the roadie world on which I am unsighted? Also any recommendations on wheelsets in the R6k to R9k price range for the fuller rider (98kg). Thanks for the help.
  4. I'm a moerse tall ouk clocking in at a 100kg. I ride a Specialised Caron Epic Expert which has DT swiss hubs and rims. I keep on breaking spokes and I don't think the wheels are strong enough for my build. They also seem a bit heavy. Any suggestions out there as to what wheels I should be looking at?
