Thanks quintonb, There is a noticeable dent on the steerer which is preventing me from installing the headset. I'll give my LBS a call tomorrow and see what they can do.

The frame is in worse nick than I thought. Both the fork thread and the bb shell thread have been damaged. How serious is this?

I currently ride Cinelli Unicanitor which sucks except when it's raining. I want my Turbo back.

The hand is getting better, I was even able to wrap the handlebars. However the antibiotics have caused trots so bad that I'd be on Strava's top lists just by logging the trips between my bed and the toilet. But the bike is now complete and I still have some sick days left, so I got another one.

I'm on a sick leave until the 23rd so I thought I'd spec an another bike. So this is what I got, an 80's Rossin Record. It's green, built with Columbus Pre-SL and has something called a "retinato" paintjob. The Basso I built earlier is essentially a commuter and this one will be more like a ss long haul trucker (I wish I had one of those). Long time no jazz, feeling better already. This finger episode has definitely been a wake up call for me, no more stupid risk-taking.

Much pain, such agony.

I was spinning the crank with a dummy pedal. Hand got between the frame and the crank. Hand got mutilated. Won't be riding any time soon.
