  1. I have bent the rear skewer before and replaced it with better ones on a hardtail. Have not had that again but then struggled with pinching till I put better tyers and pumped them to 2 bar and not the 1.9 that every website said. Gaint Talon and started at 120 kg. Now 105.
  2. I can only see a small pic of it.... But it curves with the wheel... Yes... It's my opinion that changed alot for me. Came from a gaint and loved it. Felt better in the twists but the curved seatpost made the hard stuff easier... Hills....
  3. Not meaning the adjustable part of the seat post... The bottom part to the crank if you are looking at 29ers. Look at BMC for an example. Puts more weight on the rear wheel making the front wheel lighter and easier on the up hills... Also makes manuals and wheelie easier.... Changed alot for me...
  4. Look for a curved seat post if you going for a hardtail....
  5. What car is a Bmc. Thanks for making it easy for us.....
  6. They get lighter as you go...
  7. It's about 10kg too heavy.... Besides that it's ok.....
  8. Ok spelling police..... You shock....
  9. The merida big nine 1000 is lighter for the same price. The merida also has through axel.
  10. Motocross gloves have worked great for me. Mtb. Tight and warm. Look funny on the road but it's for comfort not style...
  11. Find a second hand bike. 26" with better sock and gears. Big name brand should be safe. For a 1000 it ain't gonna be pretty. Read a review of the bike before you buy it....
  12. How was it guys....
  13. To add... Pinarello hybrid with tiagra or marida full carbon with 105.
  14. To add to his questions I am 1.95 and weigh 110kg. Can carbon or hybrid handel extra weight ... Should I stay with alloy? My budget is a little lower at 15. And better frame or better components?
  15. I recommend you get one....:-)
