Think we will be ok for a full swim coarse, light SW and SE winds the days before should settle the bay (so I hope). If memory serves me right in 2019, we had 2 days of ESE winds turning the bay into a washing machine. Good luck to everyone, and remember to enjoy. So I did the PE PLETT with my wife over the Weekend. Red Cherry ( event organizers) seemed to have taken a lot of last years comment on board and improved the overall riders experience. The event clothing and goodie bag was really great. There was a couple of glitches like, wrong halfway marker on first day, potable toilets were not great, cold shower at Woodridge School, late supper on day 3 and walking through the finish ( Broadwalk Casino) for the back markers. Some of these issues were however addressed and I assume toilets and Woodridge showers will be sorted for next year. What Really stood out however was the Race Staff, they were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. I lost/ left my wallet in the overnight tent on day 3 and only realized it was missing when I got to the finish. I reported it to Mike Glover and he immediately took charge of the situation, even offering to sort me out with cash so I can get back home if needed. He managed ( through his staff) to locate my wallet and return it to me in PE on Tuesday evening. Big thank you Mike and your hole Team!

Agree with Mads, thought it was 1 of the better organized events I have done. The water tables/ check points were well stocked and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. Besides the quality of the organization it was a awesome ride. Ouberg was really tough and riding the 50 odd km thereafter in the pitch dark karoo was something I will remember for a very long time. Well done to everyone involved! Ill will be back for the down ride next year.
