  1. Thought one would be safer on the off road than on the tar.... Willie is one tough cyclist and will no doubt recover. Hopefully all the accidents are now over! Still not nice experiencing a fall. Best of luck Willie!!!
  2. Lance did the Argus and Cape Town proud!!! The Argus is already the biggest timed ride in the world. The more people that come to Cape Town the better for our economy! If Lance made a difference then great for him and more so Cape Town. PS. HE beat me hands down......
  3. LAst years winning time by Robbie Hunter was 2;27. The wind was absolutely HORRIBLE. Wekk done to all who completed the ride

  6. I may be new to the Hub Forums but I excercised my right to start a new one. Just because you have nothing to do but sit on the Hub and comment all day does not give you the right to judge. I suggest you actually get a life!!! As previously stated THE THUG is the most apt name you could have chosen for yourself. Please feel free to post a sarcastic reply as this seemes to be your forte
  7. Well that's why his name must be "The Thug." Only his opinion seems to matter. Well thanks KINO for your support. Even though the issue may have been discussed before, it is important to put pressure on the Epic Management to think about us as South Africans and the rediculous costs
  8. Cape Epic entry fees for the 2010 event is up by 50%. From R 16 800 to R 25 200. This equates to R 1 800 per night per rider (dinner, bed and race and some refreshments along the way). Big deal about the "refuel zone" where one can eat like crazy. I really think that the Epic has made this race too expensive and beyond the reach of the average Sout African. I am very sorry that at this inflated price I will have to be happy with my one medal. What is $2 500 or even GBP 1 775 for the overseas riders??? I really think Kevin and his team are going to lose this fantastic event due to money. How do all the other stage events get away with their cheaper costs?? Time to investigate it Mr Vermaak.
  9. My condolences to Colin's family. I have a young son and have made it quite clear that Road Cycling is OUT! Purely due to the amount of traffic users / drivers who cannot judge distance and be able to pass cyclist leaving a safe distance. Mountain Biking is definitely safer as the motor car option is not there. One can also get hurt Mtn Biking but it is the safer option. Cape Town needs a dedicated cycling park!!!
