  2. What is the status on Modder being changed into China City ? Have not been there in a while. Happened to hear yesterday that riding there aint no more (or no more fun (let alone safe)) .... Northern Farm (Lanseria) and Buffelsdrift (far far away on a lost road in Pretoria) = awesomeness ... Suikerbossie = oh yes (hou bene hou), but its a tar ride ...
  3. Hook and Loop Velcro - works like a charm.
  4. I have a similar situation, bike needs to go from CPT to PRY. Phoned a few bike shops in CPT yesterday to inquire about the "used" boxes - i.e. the box a new bike came in, but that will be thrown out as the new bike owner does not want the box. Going rate for these, R 200.00 plus.
  5. Think i saw them, just by the circle before the last little "uphill" to the silver parking - unfortunately it seems as if someone had ridden over them ... ... one of the arms was broken off and it looked like the one lens was also damaged.
  6. Spoke to the Race Coordinators yesterday, thus far the race will go ahead as planned, as the route has (at this stage) suffered no, or very little damage (with the exception of the 15km, which will be changed/ re-routed). A final decision will however be made next week Thursday (15/06/2017). Fires are still ravaging Knysna and surrounds, so things can still change at any given time. For now race entries are still open and entries close on 19/06/2017
  7. Jip, all good, ride BR at least 1 afternoon in the week, usually from 15:00 Wolwespruit is also not bad. Only 15km, but do the route twice and you'll get a reasonable work-out. The climb next to the fence is not for beginners or wobbly legs
  8. Have a look at Chris Willemse Cycles (Western Cape) http://www.cwcycles.co.za/wheels/wheelset-mtb-29er Depending on what you want to do and your weight, the ARCH is the all rounder. Delivery will be free on orders above R1000.00
  9. Hi, Try Hatfield Cycles, i've only had good service from them. And personal experience, no go on Bruce Reynecke

  11. Thanks - found them too, but i see not all are loaded yet (pity) ... .... their next event is on the 10th of May ... wonder if there will be an improvement ?
  12. Can only see the 10km and the 35km, these results were also email to me/ us by Hermien van Zyl (hermienvz@gmail.com) with the compliments of Patrick Smith (organiser) 078 661 5650 ... .... now for the pics ....
  13. As it states "Gauteng North ... blahblah ... committed to have them ready by Thursday" .... eish and today is Tuesday ... .... Can't wait to see the pics - this was a serious "muddy mess" ... but nothing good old OMO can not handle .... It seems getting lost was the norm, but all in all it was great fun, no serious climbs, no serious technical stuff, just MUD ... lekker lekker !
