  1. I have done some strenuous 3hr exercise on the road bike. I am at home now approximately 4 hours after the ride. My heart rate is hovering around 80bpm. My normal resting heart rate is anywhere between 48 and 55. It is quoted in the scientific literature that it may take 24 hrs after strenuous exercise to return to normal bpm. However it also mentions that it can also be a dangerous sign if too high. No values whatsoever are given. PS: Was slightly dehydrated during the session, having consumed roughly 1.75 litres over the 3 hour session. Cause for concern?
  2. Some good advice on this thread. I will make sure to try the suggestions, thank you. Well whatever I did last week must've been serious because it has almost been a week now and it still doesn't feel like its "mine" - uncomfortable sensation. I must mention that in that Sat Sun, I was clocking up very high downhill speeds (for a first time), in excess of 70kmph and the bike was vibrating excessively, so my ass area took quite a pounding.
  3. Triton Express. They got my road bike from CT to JHB in 3 working days, no issues. Incredible support staff with tracker info.
  4. Got myself an Orion LED light which I will mount on my handlebar. Its an 800 Lumen light. Is this enough to ride around in? What lighting will you be using?
  5. Do you guys know where I can get a proper setup done without the cost of an arm and a leg? I know its important and Im not trying to be a penny pincher but Ive already spent so much on bike and accessories, my budget doesn't allow any more spend on cycling this year
  6. Anybody else doing this?
  7. So it was my second ever road cycle today with a road bike. The seat was making my bum hurt for over an hour. I still feel bruised on my butt cheeks. I am home now and my reproductive organ is strangely numb. My question is what do I need to do to my seat post to prevent this sensation? What can I change apart from the rail position, rail tilt and my seating position?
