  1. Highlight Alert! 🚴πŸ”₯ Catch all the 99er action on SuperSport Cadence tomorrow night! Relive the thrills, the camaraderie, and the vicories. Don't miss it! πŸ“ΊπŸš΄ Toyota Cadence airs on SuperSport Channel 206 at 7pm.
  2. Let me find out...we didn't have an official photographer as such (like in the Cycle Tour) but we did have 2 video media guys and 1 still photographer there on behalf of SuperSport - it is showcasing on Cadence tomorrow night I believe. Thus, there is possibly some kind of photo repository somewhere....
  3. OK. Turns out there was a little confusion between finishing sheet and finishing times. All sorted and final photo was correct 😁
  4. Our (99er) finish marshal confirmed with me that FT had to go to their backend system and measure the time to the 100th of second to determine the winner...😬 We (99er) don't have video. This would have been taken by WP Commissaires However, interestingly, the finish was not AS FAST as we had expected. Apparently 2nd place sat up once he saw 1st place was taking it. BUT, I was not there to see so it is hearsay
  5. oh....lol! Sorry, I was not involved that either. Let me ask someone on the committee who knows about that....
  6. Hi. Not sure exactly what you mean... I was out on the road at the time of presentation of the 95k winners
  7. no, it's the one Nicholas is ALSO looking for πŸ™‚
  8. nope, that is the Cradle and a back was LOST. I'm for a post from someone who FOUND a FRONT wheel. Thanks tho πŸ™‚
  9. Hello all I need some assistance please : someone left a front wheel in the parking lot after the race. We heard via the vine that some lady found said wheel and notified some online forum (the word Hub was mentioned). How would I locate this? I did check the lost and found forum but nothing... thanks in advance!
  10. Thanks a mill for the feedback. The positives you touched on are well received. Yes, we are totally aware of the barman situation. In fact, HE approached me and said he needs to get a few more till points for next year. This was our first year at the new venue and as I stated last week, lessons will be learned. But overall I believe we took this event to the next level! Sorry I missed you at the waterpoint on Spes. I was there from 9:45 till 10:30 but then had leave. Must just have missed you
  11. I was out on the MTB trail yesterday packing up route markers. The wind was INSANE! As you say, different conversations here if the race was done yesterday!
  12. Well done on the 20th! Yep, we believe that road closure was an absolute game changer. When I drove up with my Race Official vehicle it was so lekker to keep far right and pass cyclists without having to worry about oncoming traffic
  13. 4200 TOTAL entries. 600 TOTAL no shows 2500 started the 95k This is the highest total entry number post COVID
  14. Thanks for your kind words and feedback. Before I was a parent at the school I also did one 99er from the school... Yeah, I think the days of Southern Suburbs/Atlantic Seaboard road racing is long gone... Can't see it easily coming back. That place is just too crowded. Northern suburbs/Winelands region is really the only place where we have open space. Happy to be proven wrong tho! Unfortunately that does also mean that all the road races here also look just about the same, Durbie Dash, Tour de PPA, Paardeberg, etc. The 99er 95k is unique with its route but I also understand that it is too easy for elites. (0.8) However, (and I say this most respectfully) elites only make up maybe 10% of the entire 95k race. We have to make the race attractive for a very large audience Glad you enjoyed the event. Hoping to see you back again!
  15. For those of you on the media machine Facebook see if you see yourself https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EoxLMz64t/ Apparently SuperSport is going to do a segment showcasing this year's 99er on their Cadence cycling show. It is a first for us. Provisional airing date is Tuesday 18th of February, subject to final confirmation This shared clip is only a small part of what will be shown. We had 2 video crews and a still photographer fron SuperSport trailing the race on the day. I specifically asked them to include footage of the Trilogy as usually they focus on roadies EDIT : updated link
