I am waiting for my new KTM Sphinx after riding a AXIS hardtail with rim brakes which I learned on.Wiped 9 times when I got cleats. I cant wait but already worried bout wiping out on it.Its easier to do on a 3k bike than a 30k bike!!! Spose u experienced guys must be chuckling. Yes I'll get over it..the sooner..the better

If someone wanted a gun it is easy to come by..and having a weapon taken off you is a real/concern but not weighing on the balance of probabilies of my view of right and wrong, concern given my moral compass and right under our law. Thugs usually target cyclists in their own geographic area - word will spread when an attempted theft by any weapon resulted in a shooting. If that is from me defending myself I would reflect and conclude that apart from self defence i would be doing a community a service..logically if crime continues with impunity and no consequence..anarchy will result..just look on our roads. I'd love to see a safe place to ride..but reallity is that where I ride..there be thugs. I will not cower and lay down and by the same time I will not be the aggressor.

I carry a snub nose 38 special in the small of my back.You cannot see it,it is so small. I bothered going the long route of keeping my licence so I am legal. I have in my mind of when attacked to roll way and come up armed. If they are armed with guns, i will not engage as i am not a cowboy. If they have pangas,poles or knives...then it is going to be good night nurse! I can not afford to lose the gun as this will used on other cyclists and myself.So only when you have the gap to pull the weapon do you make it known you have one..and when u do...use it..otherwise I would not play robocop.
