I'm a bit sceptical about the racks that fit directly onto the spare wheel. Don't they put a lot of strain on the spare wheel mounting points on the vehicle?
I've seen bike racks on 4x4's (with rear mounted spare wheel) that fit onto the towbar and have a goose-neck shape (to extend beyond the spare wheel). Which is the best brand? Where can I buy one?
