Hi I've been also looking at that route. I think its possible to ride to woodmead and then cut over to the old 94.7 mtb route and follow that all the way thought to modderfontien. Ive looked at the route and there is a clearly defined trail there. I'm just not sure if anybody rides it or not. I would be keen on trying it out. I come from the opposite direction and we cycle to rosebank(road)/emmerentia(mtb on the spruit to Sandton) and back very often traffic is not hectic in the mornings.
