  1. I ride a 2018 #scottgenius930 and love it. Have done stage races on it.
  2. Our entry included everything except additional drinks. Absolutely awesome event. I loved it
  3. So Csa has serious issues but our sport very obviously needs a governing body and rules. Without sanctioning you get to ride with dopers and mechanical dopers aka e bikes. Doesn't say much about our sport or ourselves. By not paying Csa are we not making our sport ethically and morally poorer and are we perhaps throwing the baby out with the bathwater . Can we become part of an active solution instead of just whining
  4. ha do you seriously think csa commissaires are paid thousands????
  5. Do a commissaires course and this thread would not exist because you would have all the answers you seek. It's a seriously good idea to do some reading about the rules and regulations that govern a sport you are participating in
  6. Love my scott genius 930 and it climbs really well

  8. The Scott Genius 930. no contest. loving every second of this bike. Huge confidence on hectic rough downhills, jumping etc.
  9. Currently in Germany. Cannot believe just how many e bikes I have seen. All used for COMMUTING. have not seen a single one on the trails.
  10. The definition of a bicycle is two wheels and human powered therefore bikes are not welcome at a bicycle race.
  11. I am a female cyclist and was out on my road bike on my own early one morning. I was joined by a bunch of "dirt roadies" who all knew me. I punctured along a fairly lonely piece of road and their collective response was to ask me if I was joining them for coffee later and they all rode off. needless to say : karma karma karma - I will return the favour one day. Was riding in a race a couple of weeks ago and a lady cyclist who I knew had snapped her chain. a gentleman had stopped to see if he could assist her but neither had the spares ( a quick link and chain breaker ) to solve the problem. I happily handed over my spares and multitool to discover the neither of the two had any idea on how to mend the chain so I stopped and gave a quick lesson . hopefully someone will do the same for me one day .
  12. Leverage Corporations Ladies MTB day - I did it a couple of years ago at Van Gaalens and it was great - so very civilised with champagne at finish and 3 course sit down lunch and then the "fines" for coming first and showing off and coming last and causing delays etc. Very fast flat course - no climbing which was amazing for me coming from KZN
