  1. Emmarentia areaan good condition
  2. Within last month, small frame, full dura ace group set and wheels, red pedals, speedo, two bottle cages, emmarentia area
  3. Ps! i think it depends on the tear and how bad it is as to whether surgery is required
  4. I tore ligaments in my shoulder, bloody sore I might add, Dr Patricious at the The centre for sports medicine (something like that) in Rosebank sorted me out...no op, a sling, physio and lots of stretching excersises. It took 8 weeks but is now perfect.
  5. the more races within 1/2 an hr of jhb the better! at least they are trying...what have u done lately? the turn out was excellent, yes we lost about 40 seconds lookn for the odd yellow and black marker, but overall it was a cool ride. All those keen on ridn the spruit for the millionth time instead will be doing us a favour by not holding us up. the area is great for mtb riding and on our doorstep, I'm sure the race will be even better next yr if the organisers use all the constuctive criticism levelled at them. ta for a great morning!
  6. If anyone found a pump (tyre and shock combo), silver and black...I think its a Ravx. I'd be really happy to get it back. I dropped it between the dam wall and Delta park. thanks
  7. or even a bridge
  8. bike shops could erect a sign ad if they sponsor a brige etc
  9. Great stuff! It would be amazing if eveyone who rides the spruit gets behind making it safer, cleaner and a place for the whole family , commuters, races even...The spruit is a jewel in the middle of Joburg and could be enjoyed by a lot more folks if they knew what the area had to offer, and it is percieved to be a safe place to ride. If you ride from Alberts farm to the N1 and back, you can do a good 50km ride! A few possibilities (some requiring money and manpower); *signs marking the paths, including info for cyclists and pedestrians, suggestions such as bell so as not to 'surprise' dog walkers and other users.* An interested club or two willing to take on the responsibility of building basic bridges, etc...possibly using donations from hopefully the majority of users (pie in the sky?). *what about the guys who organise the night racing at Delta Park, they're obviously able to organise themselves? *dustbins *two paths*a number to call if you notice an overflowing sewer, dumping etc. *riders using the spruit often who are prepared to act as reservists on the spruit even if its just by wearing a shirt sponsored by some of our local armed reaction guys...to create a presence of some sort of security. *Spruit users kit (shirt) with proceeds going towards upgrade. *some sort of anti -erosion measure e.g. reroute path from time to time where possible. all out of ideas will try again later
