I did the 100 km and only started at 08h15 so I rode the whole ride in the heat.It was especially hot and did not stop at the first wp as I wanted to go to the second one.On arrival there was no water at wp two so had to ride for 30 km without any.I realize that I should be better prepared but if ALL races only cater for the pros then we would not have any of these races at all.The so called weekend warriors actually pay the bills at these events AND the local bike shops too to be honest.I can appreciate the difficult logistics but feel that maybe the starting times could be adopted slightly.I will however do the event again.

Cannot blame them at all for wanting to distance themselves from this banana republic. You have to see things from their business objectives ie to make money in a proper currency.

I have three homeschooled children and we made the decision based on trying to give them a better education and think that most other parents want the same for their kids.Sport was not our main concern but they excelled at gymnastics and yes they do have extra time to train simply because they get individual attention in class so get through their work faster than at a school.Why punish them for that?Surely getting the most competitive field together is better for any sport.I commend anyone sponsoring sport especially at junior level but feel that this could have been handled better.

I am sorry but to use the excuse about time of year and staff etc is pathetic to say the least.If you cannot serve customers properly because of your inadequacy then STAY closed until you can.

I don't know if it was previously mentioned but it happened to me twice this very weekend.It seems that some clowns just want to advertise items to test the waters and have no real interest in actually selling them.Once an offer is made for the full selling price and banking details are asked for I feel that the seller should forward such as to give the buyer the opportunity to make payment.I asked for banking details and have still not received them from the seller a day later after it was said that they would do so.Another person does not even bother to respond to any form of communication.This is really sad as it creates a difficult platform to buy and sell on this forum.I am however fortunate that a lbs sold me a brand new item for R250 more than the used items offered.

Good grief fellow cyclists this is a disaster on an epic scale and 15% of Knysna is either burnt to the ground or damaged.I honestly do not think that this wonderful event will take place as I have spoken to a friend who no longer has a home and from what he described we can only pray for all affected by this tragedy.Sorry to be pessimistic but my friend ,who now does not have a MTB anymore,says that it will really not be anything like we have come to know of the race if indeed it is to happen.

So what about the loyal dealers?Do they still expect bike stores to stock their bikes?
