  1. Hi, I'm looking for a group to put my teenage step-daughter in. She's desperate to get in to mountain biking, and I want someone else to teach her ;P Also, the camaraderie would be fun for her! Any ideas?
  2. wow! looks like we all have sporty kiddies Thanks for all the advice..I'll try taking her out to one of the easier places mentioned this weekend or next. I'm just now posting a new thread in a search for kids' MTB groups..maybe you guys can follow me over there!
  3. hi guys, My girlfriend's 14 year old daughter (who happens to be a serious athlete) has been pestering me to take her out. How do I teach a kid (who doesn't even have the right bike) how to mountain bike without killing her?
  4. i guess it is good to describe myself and my riding! i'm 6' tall, 220lb, pretty strong. i do all different kinds of riding, so i need a bike that can handle tough mountains and downhill too. so far, i'm pretty happy with my 29, so maybe i'll take the advice not to switch it out.
  5. i know it's stupid, but i'm looking for feedback..29 or 27,5? i'll eventually buy a new bike, and i've gotten used to 29.
  6. Boss was feeling generous.. Anyone have a suggestion for a fun new mtb toy?
  7. I'm dying to see this video Thanks for all the helpful posts! I asked on another forum and all I got was a bunch of arrogant jerks writing insults. I picked out all the rocks and followed some of the various bits of advice you gave...damnnnn this thing hurts. Still can't bend it 4 days later. Oh well. I think staaldruppels must be caulderizing powder in english! awesome idea. I used to use it when I worked at a veterinarian's ages ago. and...why would i take pictures of a nasty bloody knee? just asking for advice. you seriously want evidence? geeks.
  8. you should see what I did to my go****mn knee today... bloody and full of rocks...anyone have a magic cure?
  9. thanks! some good advice, some jerks
  10. I'm glad I didn't see any of the "disappearing posts". I can only guess what they were, since I've seen what the name "Israel" can do to small-minded fools who can't stop themselves from being assholes in public. I can't imagine being Israeli or Jewish and having to live in fear of people's reactions every single goddamn time I say who I am. I posted this event for an Italian friend who's working on it, and I plan on going if I can scrape the money together. I hope a few other open-minded adventurers will join. Last year it was awesome.
  11. if i find a club i like i hope to join! i can't always motivate myself to go out alone.
  12. Where can I find lists of local amateur MTB teams/training squads? Specifically Germany, but I move countries every few years.
