Continental Race King . Reliable and extremely low rolling resistance. I own both the crossmark(on my other wheelset) and the race king. The conti has way more climbing traction on the rear and also wears well. It's not too heavy, but it is quite expensive. Be sure to get the protection version! Hope this helps

I have recently injured my right knee when I hammered a trail with 900m of climb too enthusiastically. It appears to be a patellar tendon problem and I discovered that my injured leg is about a cm longer than my good leg! Do anyone have any experience with knee tendon problems or had to deal with leg length imbalances? I am desperate for advice as I am struggling for about 2 months now. Thanks in advance!

@eddy :My races are normally between 30-50 km, but i'm very ambitious and can maintain a 27-30 km/h average on a easy course. I am looking in participating in some longer 70km rides in the future. Although I'm only 16 I do feel quite beaten up after some fast bumpy rides on my alloy HT. If a FS is going to make my ride more enjoyable and not sacrifice too much weight and power, I'm willing to pay for extra maintenance

Thanks guys. I was looking at the scott spark 940. I think the twinlock will help with efficiency and may be lighter than the giant. I know the anthem will be better in the technical stuff, but is it as good as the spark on the flats and climbs?

I am looking to buy a bike in the R30k-R35k price range. Will the comfort of the heavier alloy FS beat the light carbon hardtail? I normally ride flat non-technical races, suggesting the hardtail is best ,but I also participate in some challenging technical xco events and very demanding marathons. Thanks in advance

Not sure about the obstacle because I was in a race and had no time to lose. Could be a very sharp rock or sharp tree stump. .I weigh about 80kg with gear .I hit it at about 20km/h in a climb with hidden obstacles in long grass. I see now that the cut is also between the sideknobs

Today I experienced a sidewall cut on my rear with my relatively new Continental Mountain King protection tyres. Is Continental making bad sidewalls, or would any tyre suffer a cut with a obstacle of that kind. Would Maxxis crossmark LUST be better? Thanks in advance.
