  1. Hello all! So after 15 years of owning a wonderful old tech steel frame v-braked Gary Fischer (hard tail, coil spring, no upgrades done), I'm tempted to spend R10k on a good basic MTB. I have not been riding much, but with a 10 year old son, we've been having some fun on a few basic trails recently. Now to be honest, I've ridden at the MTN cycling park and Heia Safari Lodge (12.5km) and have not felt like I needed a new bike, but the Fuji Tahoe 1.5 is on special at cycle labs (normally R13k, now R10k), which got me thinking: 1. Am I missing out by not upgrading? 2. Is this a decent frame on which I can upgrade components over the years as my son and I ride more? 3. Should I save my shekels for better and bigger? 4. Should I buy something cheaper at a better entry point and get one for the missus as well (She aslo has a 15 year old Gary Fischer!) Thanks for the help! Ryan
