Thanks the_odinson. I saw the 2015 fork has been upgraded to Rockshox and that one of the biggest complaints of 2014 was the Suntour spring fork. I was completely sold on the entry level and then I went riding with some friends in Karkloof. I've been listening to my friends who all talk about their next upgrade Iof this or that. I would like to avoid upgrades unless it's required for broken equipment. How has the other components treated you this last year? Are you considering upgrading anything else? Retrospectively, should you have gone comp or are you happy as a pig in a blanket with your original choice?

Thanks guys. I'm sure the bike is strong enough. I weigh a 100kg and I'm trying to find out if the upgraded fork and shock of the comp (with the Shimano gear) is the way to go and worth it.

Hi guys. I'm a new novice rider. I've been using some of my friends bikes and I'm ready to buy one. The bikes I looked at locally was the Specialized Camber 29 vs the Giant Trance 2. R23000 vs R25000. I decided on the Camber 29. Reviews last year mentioned negatives as the spring front fork which has been upgraded to a Rockshox air fork in 2015. The tires are tubeless, the brakes tekro and it has 2/9 gearing. I'm test riding the chamber next week to see how it feels. Is this bike good enough for a newbie to ride at least once a week for at least two years? Should I rather buy the camber comp 29 and is it worth R7000 more? Other bikes for around R23000 to R25000? Thanks for any help.
