  1. Good morning I know this has probably been asked before, but cant seem to find the info, I was hoping to get some information from you guys regarding kit choice for the cape epic, now I know it is very rider specific with regards to fit and comfort. But we are looking at making custom kit for the event, especially the jerseys, on the bib side we are not to worried to have that custom, plain black will do. Who would you guys recommend for custom jerseys and what would be the top 3 best bibs to buy for an event like this? obviously with comfort and quality in mind, we don't mind spending a little extra on bibs. Thanx in advance!
  2. I think I will go for the 36t, my father in law is on a 1 x 12, 38t in front and he is very happy with it, except for when he did the wine2whales about 2 years ago, he said he could have done with a 36t in front.
  3. I do agree, the 34 on the front is just to small, i was actually thinking of getting a 36 or 38 tooth for the front.
  4. Hi Guys. that was my thinking as well. Thanks for the comments, will definitely give it a shot and will also look into the oval chainrings.
  5. HI Guys I currently have a 2 x 11 xt setup on my bike 11 x 42 for cassette and 34 x 24 on the front. My bigger chainring is due for replacement an I have been thinking that I never used my smaller chainring, will it work to just remove the smaller chainring and the derailleur to have a 1 x 11 setup? and then buy a 1 x 11 specific chainring to convert to 1 x 11? Or isnt it as simple as that?
  6. Hi Guys I finally decided on a 2018 Scott spark 910. Quite like the colour as well.????
  7. I can get it for a tad over 40k new. I saw only mainframe is carbon, but it looks as if it comes with carbon wheels though. Components slx with deore brakes.
  8. Morning guys I can get a 2018 giant anthem advance 1 for the same money as the Merida.
  9. Morning guys I can get a 2018 giant anthem advance 1 for the same money as the Merida.
  10. Thanx for all the input and comments guys. I am on my way to a couple of shops now, hopefully I can test ride one or two.
  11. Morning guys. I know this question has been asked countless of times. But I don’t want to make the wrong decision here. I am looking at a new dual suspension bike, budget around R45K Now my question is, what would be the best bike to buy. I like doing races and want to try and take it up a notch. Did a couple of stage races and would be doing some this year. I can get a Merida ninety six 7000 in my budget. Is it worth buying or should I be looking at a Scott spark or maybe Cannondale? I Know I should go for what makes me drool, but don’t want to drop 45k on a bike that might not be the best one
  12. No haven't fit either of them But judging from the XL that i tried i might even fit in a medium. Hopefully next time a can get one that fit.
  13. HI I have a (XL) jacket that i would like to swop for a (M) or even a (L). I was a substitute rider and unfortunately the guy i substituted was a lot bigger than me.
