seeing as this is the rant and rave section....herewith my rant to the not so friendly man with the huge chip on his shoulder riding in the Baynesfield Classic yesterday..... When riding singletrack and a lady asks " when it is safe will you please give me the track as I am chasing the third placed lady down", the answer my friend is NOT "not a chance". I can only assume that you have a problem with a woman passing you. For the record there were already three ahead of you....they all ended up beating you coincidentally. With that in mind might i suggest one of two things for you. 1 train harder so you dont get paople asking you for track 2 stick to your spinning bike or road bike where the organisers wont make you ride between those treacherous trees and over bumpy roots and stones found in singletrack that seemed to terrify you so. Really is a pity I chose to sit this one out because I love doing classics......sometimes I chose to ride with my girlfriend....so maybe next time a lady asks for track and u give a sh*tty reply like that....think Brandon Stewart and Kevin Evans.
