  1. I'm trying to get my old Giant OCR 1 operational again but cant for the life of me find a cassette that works with the deraileur. All the new 9 speed cassettes seem to have greater ratios than it can handle, I think I need 11-25T maximum. Hoping someone might have one of these laying about in the back of the garage... I'm in Stellenbosch so if youre in the Winelands and have one that would be amazing!!!
  2. Just landed in CT with my mountainbike, staying around Tableview for the next few days. Keen to join in on any rides happening. Would really like to check out some local trails if anyone is happy to let me tag along. Thanks
  3. Thanks Philip. Any suggestion of an alternate route to get there or is it just a matter of having to catch an uber?
  4. Hey to the Capetonians, I'm flying down to CT from Durbs for New years and figured I'd bring my bike to hit some local trails. Staying in Flamingo Vlei from 28 Dec til 2 Jan. Which are the best riding spots nearby that one can cycle to? Not renting a car so if I can get there by bike it will be a heck of a lot easier than dismantling the bike to fit in an Uber. I enjoy loads of single track, fast and flowing, reasonably technical. Are there any group rides happening around then? Or anyone nearby keen on a riding buddy? ????
  5. 100% Just wanted to see if anyone was keen first. You can still bomb it as is but a couple little tweaks would make it epic and if we could get permission there is just heaps of potential in there
  6. Anyone with the appropriate skillset interested in building a fun trail in the Dawncliffe / moseley area? I'm in Carlton Ave, Dawncliffe and there is an access trail at the bottom of my road into the "conservancy". I've ridden it once or twice and hiked it with my dogs today. As is it's about a 1.5km downhill run to the umbilo river with a lot of potential. A fair portion is jeep track and then it becomes single. It would be pretty easy to build into a pretty fun Enduro style descent. There is a whole lots space there to do some pretty cool sections. Anyone ridden it before? You can cross the umbilo river at the bottom and end up at the Queensburgh caravan park...
  7. Hey guys , I'm in Cape town for 2 weeks and am hoping to get a ride in over this weekend, preferably early morning. I'm on a MTB but would be happy to do a road or trail or mixed ride. Staying in Harfield Village. Any group rides or locals or visitors looking for a riding partner his weekend? Moderate pace and distance ( up to about 50km)
