I missed the cut off at CP3 by a few minutes. I will definitely be back and better prepared for the cold and the ruts in the road. My kidneys took a beating so its riding with a kidney belt and thicker gloves and shoe covers for me. See you all on the down ride next year.

I am bricking myself with 11 days to go. I am not going to get any fitter in the next 10 days so its all guts and hopefully glory. See you all at the start.

Silly question but is there a difference in the tyre diameter for a 26" bike with v brakes vs disc brakes. My tyres on my bike I am using here in Angola are shot to pieces and I bought a set of 26x 2 tyres but they fall over the rim. The only thing I can think of is that there is a difference between the rims?

Thanks, you have just put the fear of God into me but im still in for the long haul. I lie awake planning but I think I must just ride within myself and leave the rest to fate. The only major bonus is the 12kg im down so far since upping the training.
