Event Name: Spring Night Race Series. When: 28 September 2017 Where: Benoni Country Club, Gauteng Category: MTB The spring night race series will be as follows September 28 will be our first race (1-3) of the series, With the following race being on the last Thursday of October 26 (2-3) And the final race being on the 30 November (3-3). Race Registration will be from 17H30 on the day of and the Race will start at 19H00 at the Benoni Country club. (BCC) We hope to see all the familiar faces, and hopefully a few new ones. Event Name: 4 Hour Halloween Race When: 15 October 2016 Where: Benoni Country Club, Gauteng Category: MTB After the resounding success of the 1st Benoni Country Club 6 hour race, we are now proud to offer our 2nd event with a slightly changed format. We have shortened the event to 4 hours and are starting a little earlier. This will allow cyclists who do not have lights to ride the 1st 2 to 3 hours of the event safely. Finishing earlier will also allow friends and families to enjoy a fabulous evening of food, live entertainment and prize giving well into the night after the finish of the race at this awesome venue. The Race Format. Mixed jeep and forest single track 7km loop. Race as an individual, team of two or four (Only one team member on the trail at a time). Most laps wins the categories. Category prizes. Lucky draw prizes. Free themed technical T shirt and a great goody bag. Enjoy the wonderful facilities of the Benoni Country Club. Full food and beverage offerings including the craft beer Green Bar. Live band. Change rooms and shower facilities. We are also excited to include the smaller members of the family in the fabulous Kiddies Halloween Forest Walk. Come along and enjoy the fun. Procycles along with the Benoni Country Club is proud to present its first ever cycle race. The ride will take place on a lap format. Individuals and/or teams of two or four are eligible for entry. No children under the age of 12 years old are allowed to race. Online entries at www.bikeabout.co.za. We will take late entries on the day up until 16h00, but please enter early. The lap is an easy 8.1km loop consisting of mainly jeep track interspersed with some forest single track. The single track will be cut wide to make passing very easy and to allow both beginners and racing cyclists to ride together in peace and harmony. All technical sections have been avoided for the race. We encourage competitors to bring the whole family along to cheer and support all cyclists young and old, fast and slow, while enjoying the wonderful facilities at the club. If you feel that the time and combined distance is too long and far, please enter and cycle one or two or even three slow easy laps during the evening. Take a long rest between laps in the company of Mr Charles Glass J. The aim of the evening is to promote the facilities at the club by creating an event for EVERYONE to enjoy. Furthermore, proceeds will be utilised to further develop and enhance this already wonderful cycling trail facility. Your entry fee will give you entrance to cycle the race plus a goodie bag containing a beautiful screen-printed long sleeve technical shirt celebrating the event plus giveaways of the sponsors products. The goodie bag alone is almost worth the cost of entry. Free nutrition from FIT Sports Lab will be available to all competitors as well as free coffee from Procycles all night long. Arrow Stationers have also arranged digital cameras and computer printers as lucky draw giveaways to participants.
