  1. Thanks Guys, will keep browsing, hopefully something decent comes up soon.
  2. Hi Guys, I'm a MTB guy, but doing a lot of road lately and want to add a road bike into the mix. Budget would be around R10k for now, can I get anything good for that price, considering 2nd hand, and what would be the best spec I can get in that price range? Also, what are the main factors to look out for when buying 2nd hand, any risks involved in guys trying their luck? Your help would be great, Thanks,
  3. Thanks all for the feedback, I have replaced the sealant. Now to get back on the trails.
  4. Hey Guys, My bike is about 5 months old now, and did the conversion to tubeless the same day i purchased it. I have the Chaoyand Hornet tyres fitted with this tubeless conversion. I got my 1st thorn that i took out, with the hope that the sealant will seal it as it should. To my surprise that was not the case, the sealant just seeped out, so i spun the tyre, rode with bike, and it just didn't want to seal. Now I'm not sure, must the sealant be replaced or was it just not the proper sealant put in, to begin with? In the 5 month of owning the bike, its done about 1500km's of all weather, all terrain, mainly road though. Your advice would appreciated.
  5. Thanks for your explanatory feedback, I'll try your advice.
  6. mmm...I did flip my bike to remove the pads, i don't have a bike stand. Guessing its a rookie mistake.
  7. I just removed the pads and washed them. Dried them off and put them straight back in. Didn't adjust any other screws.
  8. Hi All, I'm still new to learning the technical's of bikes, as I want to do certain things on my own, to save money by taking it to the bike shops everytime. I cleaned my brake pads this weekend, as they were squealing and therefore it begged for a clean. I removed the pads and cleaned them. However, now when I pull the brake levers, they pull a bit further back than usual. How do I go about tightening them or firming them up if possible, so it only pulls to about 1/3 maximum. This applies to my front and back brakes now. They are hydraulic brakes.
  9. Did the trail for the first time this evening, sure is a good trail, started Lower Tokai side. If I had know I was so close to the end, I wouldn't have turned back, but did as preferred to be closer to home when twilight is around. Thanks to all for making this trail possible.
  10. Might not be payday yet, but if I can get this price down, I might have enough pennies left to make the purchase. Really need a new bib, the black, CRAFT Glow bib, Small.
  11. I'm still trying to locate the start or end point of this trail, I found the part of it by Peddlars, and crossing Constantia main road. Also, is it safe to do early morning, around sunrise, if not just before? (weekends)
  12. I plan on keeping the bike as is. In the long term, I will sell and upgrade.
  13. Hi Guys, Could you give any advice on the following bikes. The 2016 Scott Aspect 930 and the 2015 Titan Comp. Both are 29er's. I know the Titan has better shocks "Rock Shox" and rear derailleur "SLX." The Scott has Deore and Suntour suspension. Any info on Titan frames. The only thing that makes me like the Scott more, is because its a brand I know, however spec is more important I would assume. The type of riding I do is road for now, while the mountain trail is closed, otherwise just trail biking, not really single tracks. Your advice would be appreciated.
