  1. Nice post. I delt with Chaunce a number of times and will gladly recommend buying from him.You can trsut him.
  2. Also dealt with Chaunce a number of times. Awesome guy and his word is good.
  3. Thank you all for the feedback , both positive and negative. ASH is a thing of the past now. A bad , distant memory !! 'NOBODY' , I have dropped you a PM regarding your comments on the name ESMERO , but just so you know ,I had to practice what you preached. I had to count to 10 and say ,blah blah blah !!!
  4. IanC , thanks a millon for your reply and I acknowledge that my response may have been harsh. I have been trying for a week now to meet with this guy(ASH). He doesn't bother to respond to the posts on the HUB and instead goes out like a PI and takes pics of my fellow club members.I appealed to him to meet with me 'ALONE' - man to man , which in my opinion was the right thing to do as far as a member of the clubs Exco goes.I was then going to take that evidence to the club members and get the club's chairman to address it with those individuals. Did I go about that the wrong way ? We all know that when the Exco are with the members on a ride , the rules of the road are most likely to be obeyed because the Exco normally enforces the 'safety-first' policy. Please don't get me wrong , I am not saying that our members are innocent victims who never ever ride more than 2 abreast and I'm sure every club out there has had words with their members about road safety. You see what ASH doesn't realise is that this past weekend I paid a visit to the person with whom our members had a run in with on that section of road. ASH is not that individual !! That matter has long been forgotten. In fact the gentleman admitted that he can hardly recall what happend that day because he was a little under the weather that day. So ASH , again , as a concerned Exco member of ESMERO cycling club , I am appealing to you to please meet with me and show me your evidence.
  5. I'm sorry you feel that way ASH and I hope you took more pics yesterday. The big guy is known to have a bad temper, but instead of watching ESMERO ride from your hideout (where ever that was)yesterday why didn't you meet with me. I was alone and waiting for you at McDonalds. You obviously read all the posts yesteday but instead of replying on the HUB you choose the cowards way of doing things. You went and hid in some bush to watch as you said , ESMERO cycle dangerously again. You should be ashamed of yourself ASH. I now find myself asking the question , are you really a concerned citizen worried that one of my team members might get killed on that road or you just a lonely fart lost in a wind storm. If my suspicions are correct about who you are , I am 100% sure that you will not call the Chairman of ESMERO (he has asked you to meet with him as well - remember) and neither will you email the pics to me because then I will know who you are and cowards don't like other people, 'real concerned citizens/cyclists' to know who they are.So instead of posting crap on the HUB 'ASH' , or until you are man enough to meet with me and show me the evidence why don't you rather just crawl back under that rock and stay there. Also , please do me a favour 'ASH' , don't reply to this post. I think all the HUBBERS can see what you are.
  6. Crack, my goal with wanting to meet ASH is to see whether my fellow club members were indeed riding/cycling dangerously. With his photo evidence, I was going to address it with the guilty club members and then hopefully get safer ESMERO cyclists on the road.Lets face facts , there are times when all of us 'cyclists' do wonder away from the so called 'safety' space on the road , but ASH watched my fellow club members do it over and over again and it disturbed him so much that he posted it on the Hub for all the cyclists out there to see. Whether his comments were true or not , I cannot say , but he singled out ESMERO cycling club and as part of ESMERO cycling club's Exco , it is my duty to address it. Would you have reacted any differently Crack ?
  7. Thanks for the comments Slave. Much appreciated
  8. Valid point LeTurbo, but I hope that he will meet with me because a statement like that makes ESMERO look real bad. Maybe he will come out from his little hiding place and make himself known. Will keep you posted
  9. Thanks again for those valid pointers. I will be in ESMERO cycling kit
  10. Point taken. 'Ash' , please will you meet me at McDonalds today on Ontdekkers Street - the one opposite the Shell garage (cnr Ontdekkers and Gordon road). I will be there from 5.30 p.m.
  11. Last week , Hub user 'ASH' made specific mention of cycling club ESMERO and raised a concern that they were not practicing safe cycling. Riding 3 abreast in Alexander Street and even made mention of the fact the he had photo's to show to police if a member of ESMERO got knocked over by a motor vehicle. ESMERO's Exco made arrangements to meet with 'ASH' yesterday to view these photos so that the matter could be addressed with the culprits within the club. However , 'ASH' was a no show yesterday. 'ASH' , I am again appealing to you to meet with me at Alexander Street today at 5:30p.m so that these photo's can be viewed.
  12. Clive the group stays together at all the over night B&B accom. We definitely have support vehicles. Michael your trip photo's looks like you guys had a blast and Clive I can assure you that this trip is something worth the while.
  13. We will in all likely hood cover between 160 - 180km per day and then do a final 60 - 80km on the Saturday morning to get us in to PMB. We will have 2 groups of riders (25 - 30 average) and (30 - 35 or higher) for the crazy bunch. Have you done this before ?
  14. Hi Soxx. The club I belong to (ESMERO) will be doing a ride from JHB to PMB this year. We will be leaving on the Wednesday and will then ride in the Amashova race on the Sunday. What deails are you looking for ?
  15. Cycling to raise awareness of the importance of education in the development of South Africa. Gift of the Givers(www.giftofthegivers.org) are hosting a 2 week long cycle tour that aims to raise awareness of the importance of education in the development of South Africa, and more importantly, to raise funds for the organisation?s existing educational projects. Esmero Cycling Club will start the tour with GOTG in Polokwane (26 September) and 2 of our members will ride the entire tour ending at the Union Buildings in Pretoria (10 October). GOTG needs our help as cyclists. If you are in the Durban area , please will you gather a few of your cycling buddies and join them en route from Pietermaritzburg to Durban (1-3 October). They need numbers. No you don't have to cycle all 3 days , just be there. PLEASE !!!! More importantly on the 10 October we will cycle from Adelaide Tambo School in Soweto to the Union buildings in Pretoria. Full SAP escort, televised etc. Once again they need numbers to make the statement and buying a R10 coupon will help towards the goal of raising R1.5m If you buy the coupon book (R100) the ride from Soweto will cost you R0 (nothing). These coupon books can be obtained from GOTG or from Esmero Cycling Club.
