  1. Hi. I have the XT M8000 1x11 and its awesome! I have a 34T Oval in front and Sram GX 10-42 casette at the back. This setup really works well. But I am looking to upgrade to SRAMs new GX 1x12. I think the upgrade kit including the crank will cost you around R8k. This is next level and super affordable!!! The casette range is 10-50 so you can easily go for a 36 chainring. This should work for any type of riding!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Okay I found some foam rubber extrusion hose at HRC Industries in Pretoria West. The guy was nice enough to give me a 2 meter piece for free. I think it cost something like R13/meter. It is basically that rubber seal strip on the inside of your car door except this one is more like a hose. I will install it during the week at the local bike shop because the will need to bleed the brake fluid. Hope this will solve it!! Its a Trek Procaliber 9.9 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. No, its actually the cable housing running inside of the frame rattling against the frame on rough terrain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Hi! I competed in the Trailseeker marathon yesterday. It was a bumpy trail due to new tracks that had to be set out because of heavy rain. Yet I completed the whole race on my dual suspension bike with the rear shock locked out. (Carrying the weight of the extra shock with me) I just feel that a lot of energy goes wasted when bouncing up and down on the rear shock. I am currently busy building up a Trek Procaliber. Its a hardtail but it has a Isospeed decoupler to take the hard edge of the bumpy trails. Building this bike up from scratch will save me quite a bit of cash in the end. I did start with the project october last year and i am constantly looking for component on sale. I am going to keep the dual sus as a training/backup bike. I would recommend a 29er. 9. Sorry IH8MUD, i know you need a specific part from them, but is it generally cheaper to buy from Jenson?
  10. How much will duties and taxes be on a part. Is it really worth going through all the trouble of buying from them instead of local?
  11. Would like to know as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
