Okay, can manage that!

I think it is good manners to greet fellow cyclists, BUT sometimes it is impossible, for example, during racing season, when I do intervals and get out of the saddle, the riders passing me will greet, but the thing is: although I'm looking up and seeing them, I can't wave at them!!! Because I must keep my power up.. Must I now sit down and greet them and then go on powering..? NO! I don't think so.... I mean, during a league race, when somebody is attacking the bunch, do you think he is first going to greet someone passing??? No, and that's the same as doing speed work during a training ride.... The same on a climb..like helshoogte, where I do a lot of intervals... I'm sorry, but if I'm doing 185bpm, I'm NOT waving... I really think that cycling is not just about playing around and chilling and waving all the time. Some days I'm preoccucpied and there is NO law that forces me to greet at such occasions! That's just MY personal opinion.... But, yes, if one is just cruising along at a normal pace, it costs you nothing to greet. The choice is yours.

Ja, it was hectic... I think it was 2.5km... felt longer....

R185 is cheap. It's the price of a bed and food expenses you should be worrying about...! Great race, and will be doing it again this year.

What Jeroen is saying is actually quite true! Although on OU Kaapse weg, in the rolercoaster, going up, a Acsis rider( I am notcertain, but I DO think it is an elite) caused a small crash. Was in the second elite group.Not to serios though. In general, most of the acssis elites are friendly, but yes, some got attitude. But who doesnt? Anyway, I hope your son heals fast, Pickles.

Die kaapse ouens het geen verskoning nie. Hulle ken die roetes baie goed en hul taktiek moes net beter wees. Ek was nie daar, maar van wat ek hoor was daar nie veel taktiek te bespeur nie... En van die kaapse ouens is nie te vrot in die algemeen nie... Maar geluk aan die ouens van daar bo!!
