Event Name: Audio Cycle Tour Of The Atlantic Seaboard When: 20 February 2016 Where: Up Cycles bike rental kiosk, Western Cape Category: Industry / General Cycle from the hustle and bustle of the V&A Waterfront to tranquil Sea Point Promenade, as the sea breeze fill your lungs. Our route is safe and mainly flat, and we'll take a leisurely ride past the landmarks, architecture, people and everyday moments that mark life on the Atlantic Seaboard. VoiceMap uses your smartphone’s GPS device to play audio at specific locations, and you'll need an iPhone or Android device and a set of earphones to listen to this relaxing voice-guided tour. Stories and commentary from a Sea Point local play automatically through VoiceMap's app as you cycle. The ride begins at Up Cycles' bike rental kiosk where we'll pick up our rented bikes, and ends beside Sea Point Pavilion, where we'll drop them off. (If you have your own bike, please feel free to bring it.) The cycle will last about an hour, and we'll finish off with a drink at La Perla, just across from the bike drop-off point. PLEASE NOTE: Spaces for this event are limited, and Up Cycles has kindly offered VoiceMappers the discounted rate of R40 per bike for our hour-long cycle. To reserve a bike, you'll need to make an EFT of R40 (details at the bottom of this page) by Thursday 18 February. If you have your own bike, you can just show up with it and your phone! The audio tour itself costs R59.99 and can be paid for via the app store, Google Play or Paypal. The audio walk costs R59.99. You can pay using your iTunes and Google Wallet accounts. Allow ALL the files to finish downloading before you close the app. 6) When the download is finished, the download button will change from red to green, and instead of seeing the price, you'll see the word "Start".
