  1. When the replies came in, in my make shift mancave I have the frame infront of me on the table. I took a closer look and can see the welds now LOL, I also see the fitment joins of the carbon into the alu frame at the rear...nice! thanks again guys.
  2. I live out in Secunda, Evander to be specific. About a 15km ride to work. I see a dude ride from Evander to work and back uphill and downhill hell all the way on a fixie race bike. I always hoot when I pass him. Would like to stop him one day to link up. but ya, he rides 30km round trip So, to answer you...ANYWHERE.
  3. Thanks for the Info guys... I'll be posting the parts I intend to purchase on here.
  4. I sold the Bianchi Fixie about 2 years ago, my project car needed money and there was a long list of buyers waiting for the Bianchi. I haven't had a bike eversince. I went on a recent trip to Australia, while there already splurging on money the idea came to me, buy a bike here! I started looking for bikes and settled on a Cinelli frame, I don't know if its carbon or not, all in it weighs about 4kg, sounds carbon...but has the white painted obviously. Its in a fair condition. However when it came time to buy wheels, gear etc...I realized it is not a horizontal dropout. I then set on selling the frame but every time someone seemed interested I could not ascertain if the frame is indeed carbon or not. The current decision is to keep the frame and do the horizontal drop out conversion. It'll look ugly but the rest of the bike will make up for it. I need everything except the frame. Someone with some knowledge care to tell me what type of frame this is please? thanks.
  5. Just when I sell my Bianchi track bike because riding in Evanders up and downhills became problematic...I see this! Never ever knew there had been a track here. Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk

  9. For some reason, the classifieds is only on the web version of the forum, and the web version requires my login which I forgot, I have tried numerous times to get my password reset, but the mail just never arrives at the addy I specify. Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk

  11. Hi guys, Ive had this bike for just over 7 months now and I am ready to move on, hopefully I can get a TT bike, for looks and speed! The bike is a Bianchi frame, carbon fork, carbon front 4 spoke wheel, clincher rear with flip flop hub, fizik seat and other bits and bobs. I measured it at 52cm. It rudes well and is in excellent condition, it was built by a member on here from who I bought the bike, havent had a single issue and I only used it in and around my neighbourhood looking cool and going fast...just over 60km I clocked with it on odd riding occasions I had. Excuse the thread, bit I cant dind the classified section on Tapatalk, if mods can move it there Id appreciate it. R9500 neg. Ill send the bike anywhere in ZA, I am in MP. 0722200753 Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk

  13. Heres mine, Bianchi frame, Fizik seat, some Italian brakes in front, Bianchi handle bar, carbon Bianchi fork, flip-flop rear hub, clincher at the back and ehat looks like a fake carbon front wheel lol... Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk
  14. Nothing in ZA though? Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk
  15. I bought it from a forum member for a pretty penny but so far well worth it. 46/16 free cog but it has a flip-flop hub and Im now ready and strong enough for a fixed gear...maybe a 17/18 cog. People say this is a fad but weve been riding fixed gear cycles since '99. I had a 16 year hiatus from any form of bike riding and I dove straight into this head and and Im loving it, I can go further and faster everytime, I live where there are only uphils and downhils...flats are not more than 250m in ky usual 15km bike riding range...so to say I had to adjust is an understatement. Hope you guys like the bike, I changed nothing on it except add aome night riding lights as I love riding at night... Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk
  16. Ok so Ive had my Bianchi fixed gear bike for almost 4 months now and so far its been good. It came with a flip-flop hub and a free cog...no fixed gear. Where I ride there is no single flat piece of road for longer than 250m...its up and down all the time. Im now fit and strong enough in the legs for a fixed cog. My current gear ratio is 46/16 and while this is perfect for flat surfaces, not for climbing. I was thinking a 17/18 fixed cog. I also need a front tubby race tyre, I have two bike shops in Secunda and none of them have what I want...these guys here think Im crazy for buying a fixed road bike but I love. Are there any reputable, reliable online shops that has these type of fixed gear parts? Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-UL00 using Tapatalk
  17. Hi guys, I badly need to get onto a bije and ride again, not only for fitness but for leisure and to.rekindle my earlier days of just riding for no reason to no particular destination. Its been 13 years sincw I was on a bike, road bikes were my thing. My plan is to get a cheapo fixed cog, what we used to call it back in the hood, these days I see its 'fixie' or SS... I want to get back into riding and then buuld my own SS.[emoji4] You know, the stuff that Instagram pages are made off...Look frames and Zipp carbon whes etc. 1st starting point, get a cheap, good foundational bike.
  18. Arw you building it from scratch? Ive been looking to get back.into bikes for a while now and the Fixed Cog has caught my attention, but I see its a fashion now...or have I been out of the riding game far too long?(13 years). Id like to build one but I was thinkibg of just buying one for like R2k and building from there...Ill watch this thread closely.
