Hi Unfortunately im not aware of anybody that specialises in professional bike setups in the Western Cape area... I would love to be able to help. If you read on the inter-net you may pick up some helpfull tips, however this will never be 100% accurate. Saddle height is measured with special equipment that measures the angle at which the knee is extended at the most extended point during your pedal stroke. This will be set at 30 degrees. Cleat setup is done with a special jig, where your feet are measured and so we are able to set the cleat in the correct position. Yes all of this doesn't help you being so far away... Hi Guys, good to hear you appreciate my work. I can honestly say that a propper bike setup is vital. I have been doing professional bike setups for just over 1 & 1/2 years, this means well over 2000 bike setups. I would seriously recommend seeing someone for a propper setup even if you are not suffering from aches and pains. Some bikes come close to the correct position but i have honestly never seen someone without their position being out here and there. With the use of professional equipment it makes life alot easier So yes give me a call if i can help in any way. The setup costs are R250 and usually take around 1&1/2 hours as it is very indepth.
