  1. Interesting you quoting Darwin theory ... what is being stronger these days? Not about muscles for sure... Though I agree eMTB and MTB shouldn’t compete together, different thinks and diferent effort required. but if you look back see how MTB evolved over the past 20years, they are not the same machines, weight less, more efficient... they help cyclists much more... Have you tried an eMTB?
  2. Imho, try see it as evolution... is it F1 a shortcut to running? I guess there is space for everything, as long as it doesn’t interfere with other space
  3. I am convinced that ebikes are here to stay... so instead of fighting it, better to find solutions that fit all, for example if ebikes start an event 30m after the last bike group the likelihood of bottlenecks are much lower... definitely I don't think they shouldn't start together ever, but I do think is great for MTB that more people join, ebike will help on that!
  4. Thanks! I just got mine Levo Carbon Thursday, unfortunately couldn’t ride it yet (another story), but the spez tech told me it was 32, I was in doubt, because he also told that the bike came with the latestet firmware and I prove him not, glad to know that is right on the 32km\ h that is very cool, he also said that feature firmware updates won’t change the original cut speed, happy days
  5. Anyone knows at what speed the turbo Levo cuts support here in SA 25km/h or 20 mph?
  6. Do you know where I can find this ridecase in Johannesburg?
  7. Hi guys, Just moved from road to MTB and I'm looking for trails around Johannesburg (near fourways is even better). I'm looking for places that have difficult level between easy and medium and I can take the family (wife and kids) and we all can ride even if it is in different tracks. Facilities, like toilets, restaurants will be appreciated Thanks in advance
  8. I spoke to Centurion today and will be passing to pick the bike tomorrow! Precious tip from you, seems that this model and the carbon are really hard to find, true best sellers! Thanks for the help.
  9. I've tried to buy the carbon version, but couldn't find any in large size... Just XL... and to invest that amount of money, everything has to be perfect... So I'm getting a camber comp 29, that I found through "spock" tip!
  10. Would a Camper Comp Carbon be a waste of money? is worth it the R20.000 difference?
  11. Yes, that would be my number 1 choice, the problem is that it seems to be out of stock, at least I couldn't find a Camber Comp 29, size L, in Sandton stores. where did you bought yours?
  12. exactly!!! Are you happy with your bike?
  13. Hi, I just moved into SA recently and despite doing road biking for the last 2Y, now I find myself more tempted to move to MTB (The roads here seem a bit dangerous better to go on weekends to some trails) To give you some context... I ride just because I enjoy and it's a way to keep fit, I have no plans to compete, still like to beat myself and the adrenalin of speed, but the reality is that I am a very basic rider and will be looking for XC mainly. I'm planning to sell my Trek Emonda S5 (2015), and buy a full suspension MTB (read many posts on the forum and my mind is made), my budget is around R30000. My options: 1. Spez camber comp 29 (R34k) 2. Spez camber 29 (R26K) 3. Trek Fuel 8 (R???) 4. Merida ninety six 9.600, 9.800 or even the XT (R45.000 in cyclelab) 5. Spez Epic Comp 29 (R40K) Btw, I am 1,85m tall and the guys in a store were trying to sell me a Spez camber comp carbon XL , the info I found is that I should be looking for an L size, can you guys confirm it? I also need to consider the option of the 2nd value, in case I want to sell it in a few years time. Really appreciate your opinions! Thanks
