Managed to get hold of the distributer in SA (Planet Cycles - Booysens) Yes, Orbea has got a lifetime warantee on their frames. I mailed some pics as well as the original invoice (those invoices sometimes comes in handy) which they will forward to Orbea (Spain). They will then analyse and if found to be "fatigue" - replace! Hold thumbs.... According to Planet Cycles, it can also be repaired!

Sorry, will remember next time to post tech QA under this section... I recently started hearing a small cracking noise comming from my crank. The last 2 weeks, the noise became all the more irrititating. After close inspection, I noticed a hairline crack on the crank (BB). Does anybody know whether this can be fixed or will have to buy a new frame. I know Orbea has got a lifetime warantee on their frames, but do they cater for our terrible roads in South Africa?
