    Karoo 2 Coast

Good Day Bike Hubbers So I entered teh The Karoo 2 Coast. This year was my first year that I rode the CTCT and fortunately or unfortunately I started to enjoy the long distance races. But now I have a huge dilemma. I need a training plan for the Karoo 2 Coast because at this moment it feels like I am not doing anything right. Please if any of you have at least a week's training programme and what else I can do to prepare for the Karoo 2 Coast I will appreciate it greatly! Even if you could recommend what I can do extra for the preparation, like Crossfit or Pilates it will help. Lastly will it be good for me to do races like 'Around the Pot' and 'Cederberg Tip Trans' in preparation for the Karoo 2 Coast? Thanks alot
  2. Hahahahaha.. thank you for that boerklong! But I'm a lady????

    Karoo to Coast

Good evening bike hubbers Recently I entered the Karoo to Coast. Super excited about it, but now I seriously need to start training and not only do social rides???????? Any specific training training plan anyone can suggest, I'm already doing alot of long distance rides and then hills. And then if there is anyone in the Worcester, Rawsonville and surrounding area or towns that wants to train with our group leave me a pm. Will be really nice adding more of the 'all ass, no gas' type???????? Thank you in advance
  4. Hi there, yes I decided on the Trek. But recently walked in a shop that is in a town near Worcester that wanted to sell me a Silverback Sola?? Don't know? Alhough they have amazing Silverback carbon dual suspension bikes, but unfortunately my budget doesn't allow R32000
  5. Thank you, went for a ride on both bikes and it really helps
  6. Thank you so much, I will definitely go and test a few bikes.
  7. Hi there Bike Hubbers I need to hear your opinion regarding buying a 29'er or a 27.5 I am a small lady with a small frame (155cm, weighing 63kg, leg inseam 60cm) I usually ride MTB like events that is both flat and downhill. On special occasion I do ride some road cycling events like Argus and the 99er, but recently entered the Karoo to Coast, so I need to be comfortable with my bike. My size I will always have to buy a small frame????, but unsure about the wheel size Thank you
  8. Very good point???? thank you for your reply, needed that reassurance. Starting to lean towards the Trek
  9. Thank you so much for replying @Engel-a unfortunately I stay just outside Worcester and work in Worcester. So I want to be able to take my bike to a registered dealer. In Worcester we have a regisw Merida and Trek dealer. Thank you for your suggestions, still unsure if I should buy a 29'er for my size because currently I ride a 27.5. Also if choosing between Manitou Shock and RoxShox.. I think any of us will choose the RoxShox
  10. Hi bike hubbers, I urgently need some advice on buying a new bike. As I am a lady of small frame (63kg and 155cm) I want to know your opinion Budget maximum R23 000 I have narrowed down my choice of bikes to: Merida Big Seven XT edition 27.5 small frame (Unsure about the Manitou shox and also there is only the red color available which I don't like that much) Trek x caliber 9 29'er small frame (Unsure about the brand, because Trek is not a very known name)Hi bike hubbers, If there is any other suggestions please will you be ao kind to inform me. Thank you, will appreciate it very much
