Thanks everyone for your advise.. I have swapped it over to see what happens, I dont use the front brake at the moment anyway so if it stops working I am back to where i was. If it fails I will get a lever from CRC. I will give you feedback next week as to what happened. Hog, I dont have one to swap. I use the left one already, I needed to put them both on the left side because I only ride with my left hand. Thanks again.

Yup, they are on the top. Do you think they would stop working if the reservoir was upside down?

Has anyone tried to use a XT hydrolic brake lever upside down? Does it work? I need to have both my levers on the lelt side. (Disabled rider) This would mean that one would have to be upside down. I am finding it difficult to find a single lever, they are always sold in sets.
