  1. Ladies and gentlemen, This morning I had the (increasingly) common-place nightmare of being smashed off my beloved, irreplaceable Classic Alpina - with original Exage system and Mavic rims - by a taxi. I was concussed and in pain, but as I lay in bed, I listened to my miracle-worker wife on her cell. She knows nothing about bicycles. But within hours she had located a replacement! within hours! The transaction is checked, legit and complete. Now, I need anyone's wise advice on the best way of getting the bike from Sabi to Worcester, with the least damage. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. May you all have the same luck - and wonderful wives:) regds AL

  4. Hi, I recently used the services of https://www.triptychresources.co.za/ to help me move from Cape Town to Johannesburg. I used Andrew for the first time to courier bike wheels to JHB from Cape Town through the Hub, and the service was excellent. When it came to me moving home, i thought i'd try Andrew again. He's service was exceptional. Prompt response to whatsapp's, email's and always following up with a call. I'd highly recommend their services if you guys are looking to courier items cross country. He's details 082 882 6238
  5. A crisp morning to all Hubbers in Hubland! I'm looking for someone who will be travelling up from Robertson in the Woes Kaap up to JHB in the next few days who would be kind enough to bring an IDT up for me. Please PM me, I will pay a fee.
  6. Aramex Global Shopper is an international shipping service that allows you to shop from countries and online stores that would normally not ship to South Africa or where the online retailers shipping charges are prohibitive. They will then deliver your parcel to your doorstep and take care of customs in the process. That means more online shopping options, hassle-free. Click here to view the article
  7. Hi All, If I am looking to ship a bicycle frame, up from CPT to JHB. Is there anyone who can box the item down in CPT and send it up to JHB. I am trying to make it as little hassel as possible for the seller... Anyone had a courier company box the frame and bring it up to JHB.
  8. Hi guys, has anyone sent a bicycle over to the UK? My buddy is working there now and has asked that I courier his bike. Who is reputable and what can I expect to pay? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
  9. Has anyone got experience with sending small items internationally without it costing a fortune? I had an idea that if I sent a small item (approx. 250grams in packaging) overseas it should cost a few hundred Rand. I have been getting quotes of up to R1200 which is insane! Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? Preferably not one that takes 6 weeks.
  10. Hi Guys Not sure if this has been discussed before, couldn't find a similar topic despite searching. Anyway this is sort of a rant, not at any bike shop in particular, but more with the system I guess or the CPA. So I bought a KS dropper post and now it's defective, so it's within warranty and I want to return it for repair/replacement etc. Now apparently I have to pay the courier cost to return it to the online shop/supplier. This doesn't really seem fair to me, they should pay for it since it is a defect and in essence the problem has been caused by them. (But I did read online that apparently according to the CPA and ECT act that it is my responsibility to pay for the return). I dunno if anyone has any experience with this or 2c to share on this matter. Cheers Nick
