  1. The 2nd Tour de Yorkshire stage would eventually come down to the expected bunch sprint with Moreno Hofland (Lotto-Jumbo) taking the victory. Matteo Pelucchi (IAM Cycling) was 2nd with Ramon Sinkledam (Giant-Alpecin) 3rd.   2. Merhawi Kudus was MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung’s main man at todays opening stage of the Tour of Yorkshire. The 21 year old Eritrean only received his Visa in time to make the trip to Great Britain.
