  1. Being new to mtb I did my first race/ fun ride last month (Die Burger Challenge 30km). I had an abosolute ball and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having got back from holiday last week I remembered that it was possible to get pics of yourself from the ride and I guess being a newbie it sounded like a cool idea and yes it is great to have pics of myself from my first "race", however the pics are a tad disappointing in so far as a pic of someone riding along a flat jeep track doesn't really make for a good shot. The pics posted by amateurs here on the hub are invariably more exciting. Surely it would made more sense to put the photographers at the river crossing and the various mudbaths along the way to inject a bit of life and excitement into the pics. Looking at pics of family and friends their pics are also all taken from the same locations so I don't think it's a question that I was unlucky not to have got better pics. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?
