  1. Incredible photo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The bike is stored in an outside room but living less than a km from the sea any untreated metal rusts so yes the environment may well be a contributing factor but unless the finish is damaged corrosion shouldn’t begin. There’s also no problem with any other aluminum parts, bars, seat post etc. I wash the bike when it’s dirty and dry it off immediately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The reason I made the original post is because to me it appears to be coming from underneath but I'm no expert. The bike isn't stored anywhere near chemicals and the only area affected is the fork. The rest of the bike which is four years old is near perfect apart from the usual mtb rubs and scrapes. I'm going to pop into my LBS a little later and get their take on it.
  4. While it would be wonderful to get a warranty claim I don't want to try my luck if it's something which I stuffed up, I know I've never spilt brake fluid but it is possible the LBS did while servicing. Maybe I should ask them to have a look and see if they think it's worth sending it to Sram especially considering it's around 2 years old.
  5. I'm inclined to go more with cleaning products rather than brake fluid as it's on both legs inside and out and the crown. Now to find a decal kit so I can have it resprayed.
  6. I guess that's also a possibility but it's not localized, it's doing it both sides inside and out so I doubt that's it.
  7. It's not the original fork but was bought new as an upgrade. I hadn't thought of cleaning fluid, using Nam bike wash or the Sportsmans bike wash. Guess I may be in for a Bogus job in the not too distant future
  8. Has anyone encountered a problem with Rockshox paint flaking off. This fork is roughly 2 years old and recently the paint seems to start bubbling first and then flakes off. It appears to be a sort of corrosion and yes I do live on the coast but even so this can't be normal. As can be seen in the pics it's not starting from chip marks and I like to think I look after my stuff reasonably well. Anyone encountered this before?
  9. That will be a shame. I got a bunch of stuff from them before their fire , shirts and shorts and they're awesome and comfy.
  10. We used to be able to get Dakine from Swindle online but they seem to have dropped cycling kit. Is there maybe another outlet around?
  11. Unbelievable service on Friday. Ordered my dropper post at 10.15 and it was on my desk at 2.15. Will definitely be supporting them again.
