  1. Since the last time i posted a forum i did quite allot of changes and upgrades to my bike, i also went on a skills training course and shortly after that {6 weeks ago} i broke my collar bone on a jump, i know i want new handle bars but i don't know how much i want to go for. I care more about the comfort and the down hills of riding. so how much rise should i go for?
  2. I've moved to the Netherlands and have just started riding my MTB on a daily commute; these road surfaces (slick clay-type paving bricks) are a nightmare to ride on with MTB knobblies, and 10x worse in the wet (most days then) Can't seem to find any suitable guidance on what to replace them with, any advice Hubbers?
  3. Hi there, will a 29er equipped with regular MTB rubber and a 32T 11/50T set up be OK for riding/commuting in the NL? Commuting, social riding, etc.....or is it advisable to replace the 32T with a 34T and fit hybrid rubber....or shelve the bike and get a commuter? TYIA
  4. Hello Bike Hub Community, Very common question, but I need some help buying my first Mountain Bike. I was big into road cycling but moved to CPT but work and spend most time in FHK. I want to get into mountain biking and have a limited R18K (upper limit) budget. Do I sell/trade in my Raleigh LTD (Blue & Yellow) Carbon to fund this? How do I make a choice between the limited options at my price range? Obviously good components are vital. Focus on group set, suspension ? Where will I find the best bang for my buck (no particular order)? • MOMSEN AL 329 (2021) • 2022 Silverback Stride SX • TITAN Rogue Dash (2022) • MERIDA Big Trail 200 (2022) • MERIDA Big Nine 400 (2022) • 2022 Marvel Prime • Trek Marlin 7/8 Advice and guidance is much appreciated 👌🏻
  5. Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice please. I have a budget if 15k looking at purchasing a new bike - either a hardtail (new) or duel suspension (2nd hand) Is it worth buying a second hand duel suspension or am I better off buying a brand new HT? I generally ride XC with not a huge amount of single track and what bikes would you recommend? I'm also 6ft7 so I'm guessing an XL is necessary. Thanks for the advice!
  6. Hi hubbers Had a thought the other day and wanted to see if anyone had tried it or something similar. Has anyone tried putting road bike tires 700c of say 28 mm on a 29er rim ( 20mm inner rim width) to use as a "slick" for road use? This way you could us the same bicycle for both on and off road riding. Just wanted to see if it had been done and what the impression was.
