Giant Revel 0 2011

Hi All

 

I am looking for a good entry level MTB.

 

I am not that clued up on bike makes and models so any advise would be appreciated.

 

My budget is about 5k and would like a decent bike that i can use to commute to work and do some trail riding with.

 

So far the Giant Revel 0 and Silverback alpine has caught my attention.

 

Can anybody shed some light on these bikes or even suggest a better bang for buck bike

Also have a look at Schwinn Moab Comp. It's about R4 500, if memory serves.

 

Both your current choices are good bikes. The Giant has a slightly better spec. I prefer the look and finish of the Alpine, but that's purely aestethic.

the alpine and saturn 2011 bikes have a awesome painjob

any thoughts on the scott range? the aspect 40 goes for around 4k and the 30 for around 5k i think.
