I'm also in the market with a similar price range willing to go up to R7k, the above bike has a SRAM red 9 speed is that any good? I'm close so I am able to check it out. Also I only want to start MTB to supplement my road cycling during winter and maybe get in a few MTB races? So what would you guys recommend?
