Serfas bikes

Hi All,

 

Just looking for some information or actual experience if anybody's tested/used any of these models ?

As the spec doesn't look to bad for what you are paying - i'm looking to pay not more then R5k.

My first experience with a Serfas was the day I tried to pick one up from the shop floor, almost strained my back! What do they put in the frame, concrete? Rather look at the entry Merida's, much lighter and far better.

I've also been wondering about them ... but those prices you have look a lot lower than I've seen.

well, to start off, I would look for some decent second hand bikes. My guess is that you will start riding the small stuff, dirt trails, cross counrty maybe one or two small races. the bug will bite and you will want to push a little harder, faster, start doing a few jumps. Before you know it, (after a few falls) your bike will be trashed. so basically treat your first MTB as a consumable.

Thank you very much for the quick replies, I will then rather skip those and look around a bit more; as I'm currently using my old MTB that I used in school to get into the swing of things. I will definitely have a look at the merida and maybe silverback or schwinn bikes as well.
