Hi guys

I'm looking at this crank-based power solution. From what I'm told this is a great bang for buck product. I'm happy with all the reviews I've seen on the Quarq itself, seems solid. What I want to know is if this is a good crank? I currently have a dura-ace 7950 on the bike so i really don't want this to feel like a downgrade. I'm hoping it's roughly equivalent.

Anybody had experience with this crank?

Thanks

I haven't used the FSA crank myself, but I recall seeing some unflattering reviews and comments about durability somewhere.

Personally, I'd go for the SRAM S975 version of the Quarq. It's lighter than the FSA and gets good reviews. Another major plus is that it comes through SRAM's distribution channels, so you can easily get it locally, either through the local agents or through CRC, Competitive Cyclist etc.

Have 2 mates who had FSA cranks fail on them, and claiming the warrantee was a biatch... the usual dodging blaming "it's not our fault" tactics by the distributors
