hi all just a q

 

not to sure how the routes work (eventhough im a member hiehie) from hillcrest the route split kliprug(to meerendal) and then contermanskloof - how does one then get from contermanskloof back to meerendal? - i see they have maps on the website,but i cant seem to link contkloof and meerendal... those of you whom have done this trail (mf, hillcrest, contkloof,meerendal) how much climbing? thx!

As to how much climbing, its allot from the bottom of Conters to the top and then down the green corridor to M-dal.

 

The routes all link up its just depends on the amount of climbing you want to do.

 

You can do hillcrest then go down Kliprug into Conters and back up Conters to the green coridor split crossing of the fence.

 

You can also climb back up kliprug and then complete hillcrest and then climb to the green corridor again. This option may be longer, but I think it is easier.

 

If you live in Durbanville and you are a MTBer then you climb and climb but are also rewarded with the fab downhills and single track that the club has sweated to build for us.

thx dmd - yes i stay in dbnville - need to do some training for sani ( im so not ready for that!!) if i do hillcrest(cycling form dbnville, sonstraal hoogte),down contermanskloof, back up it again, down kliprug to meerendal and then back to dbnville - would you say thats about 750m of climbing? thank you so so much for the advise, really appreciate it! (is it save to ride at contermanskloof?) thanks again!
