Spannerman Posted August 16, 2011 Share Recently I've been experiencing a couple of issues with my rear wheel on my mtb. Firstly it started off with some gear issues, it is not as sharp and sometimes pulls the chain off the front. Then my rear brakes (hydraulic) started squeaking, insanely loud. I just assumed there was some residue on the disc. However I was out on a ride when my cycling buddy noticed my back wheel was wobbling side to side slightly as a ride. The wheel isn't loose so I might have done some damage to the rim at some point. Anyone else experienced this? Is it something I could fix on my own or is this another lbs visit? And how big is the possibility that I may need a new rim?
akneethling Posted August 16, 2011 Share Check if the axle is not perhaps loose........ This while the wheel is off the bike. It's probably that....... possibly your bearings are shot......... that's the best way to check Good luck
