Anyone tried a 28mm on a Merida 903?

Have a 903 Road Race (2007) that I want to kit for long rides this winter. I'm pretty certain a 25mm will fit, maybe even leave room for some Race Blades for wet days.

 

Seriously doubting a 28mm will fit - but wondering if anyone else has tried?

 

Also on my kit list are:

 

SON dynamo & Edelux light

Brooks B17 saddle

 

Not having much luck finding an SA supplier for these so I reckon I'm gonna have to bring in from UK.

I have a 2006 Merida 904 and 25mm fit with plenty of room. I am sure 28mm would fit, but try before you buy.

Hmm, interesting, thx - must go down to LBS for a try.

 

If I can squeeze in 28mm the extra comfort might save me looking for a carbon or Ti frame for really long rides. Of course, there's no real need for an excuse for a new frame, especially when they look so nice and shiny. IMO I'm well under the n+1 level right now, although the missus might think I'm close to s-1, especially since i quite fancy a fixie too just for fun
