Durban Multisport Series #2 - 22 July update:

The date clash with the Total Sports Ladies race is currently being dealt with through Durban’s Strategic Projects Unit and the Total Sports race organisers. The Durban Multisport Series was granted race permission for the 22nd of July date in February 2012. Neither race will be cancelled and B-Active Sports will be working with the Total Sports race organisers, the City of Durban and Metro Police to make sure that each route is safe and enjoyable for the athletes.

The closure of the beachfront road (Snell Parade) at Blue Lagoon due to the road realignment construction has also changed the planned cycling routes and both organisers will have their routes confrimed by Wednesday the 11th July. Confirmed cycling route maps will be posted on the bactive.com website as soon as they are confrimed.

Entries for the 22nd of July event close on Wednesday the 18th, and spaces are limited.

Regards

The B-Active Team

The NEW Bike route has been confrimed with SPU (Strategic Projects Unit of Durban) and its going to be flat and fast.

NMR (MY) road will be completely closed to vehicles from 6am and athletes will ride contra-flow on both sides of NMR (MY) The two turn points will be Goble Road and Old Fort Road.

This gives us the following distances for each race:

Rookie race = 4.5km

Sprint race = 18km

Olympic race = 42km

The Starting times have changed slightly to accommodate Total Sports ladies race.

6:50am - Rookie Event

We look forward to seeing you there.
